All bookings require a booking fee to secure a date
A booking fee is a portion of your total invoice, as is used to secure your booking and cover associated administration costs required with your booking
Remaining balances for a bridal booking must be paid in full 6 weeks prior to your booking. A date will be stated on your invoice
Any cancellations or postponements must be communicated in writing via email
Cancellations or postponements require at least 4 weeks notice, failure to notify KDS shall result in the forfeit of any payments made towards your booking
Requests to increase total numbers will be accommodated to where possible, but will be subject to availability. Unfortunately deductions to the invoice are not permitted once the invoice balance has been paid
Appointment timings will be agreed to prior to the day. If the client has not arrived, delays the start time, or has the artist waiting for your session to commence; your end time shall remain the same which shall ultimately affect your booking. KDS reserves the right to deem a booking as cancelled if the client has delayed the booking without adequate reason. There will be no refund or credit should this happen.

If Kirstie Dawson-Smith (KDS) is able to operate within the New Zealand Government Alert Level guidelines (i.e. Red, Orange or Green), bookings may proceed and will be expected to do so. Gathering Limit Restrictions, NZ Border/International Travel Restrictions do not prevent KDS from being able to operate, so bookings may proceed and will be expected to do so.
Your booking and any payment towards it are non-transferable and non-refundable if you decide to cancel or postpone (while not impacted by NZ Government Covid-19 Alert Levels), and the standard Bridal Cancellation Policy shall apply (cancellations or postponements require at least 4 weeks notice, failure to notify KDS shall result in the forfeit of any payments made towards your booking).
In the event that your wedding is not able to go ahead due to Government Restrictions (such as a regional lockdown), your booking fee remains non-refundable, all other payments remain non-refundable should you choose to transfer to a date up to 30 June 2022. If you choose a date after 30 June 2022, the options are to either transfer your booking to a new date, or receive a credit (minus booking fee). New season pricing may apply if you select a date in a different season. If you are not postponing the booking and are cancelling, then the standard Bridal Cancellation Policy shall apply.
If your new date you wish to postpone to is not available, you will receive a credit for the amount you have paid i.e. Booking Fee or Booking Fee + Remaining Balance.
Credit is valid for up to one year after your initial booking date. The credit will have any completed services such as a bridal trial, deducted from it.
When postponing, please provide as many date options as possible.
